About Teeth Whitening

In recent years, more and more people have started paying for brighter, whiter teeth. It’s the easiest non-invasive way to brighten up your smile and our Dental Team at 53 Wimpole Street have been using a wide range of whitening techniques for many years to help our patients achieve great dental aesthetics.

Teeth Whitening can be a stand-alone treatment or used in conjunction with planned Restorative Dentistry, It is also perhaps the most frequently recommended Cosmetic Dentistry procedure.

Teeth can often become stained from smoking and drinking certain foods and due to poor oral hygiene. Bleaching the teeth enhances the appearance of your smile. Teeth Whitening can lighten the color of the teeth by several shades, depending on the amount of treatments and color of your teeth prior to bleaching.

At 53 Wimpole Street, our team, Sam Hassan, Bhavin Patel and Talie Christy, can advise you as to your suitability for bleaching. We offer the most effective in-chair techniques (Enlighten®) along with home bleaching kits.

It’s important to note that Whitening of teeth should only be performed by a regulated Dental Professional, such as a Dentist, qualified Hygienist or Dental Therapist.

Some beauty salons and online retailers offer Teeth Whitening, but please be aware that this is illegal, unless a Dental Professional is present and may put your general and oral health at risk.

You can also buy DIY home bleaching kits, but these also pose a risk, as many of these Teeth Whitening products do not undergo stringent safety regulations.

Give us a call today on 020 8935 6809 to discuss what we can do for you and start your journey to a brighter smile!

Important information to consider

  1. Teeth Whitening can’t lighten your teeth to be brilliant white, but it can lighten the color by several shades, depending on the amount of treatments and state of your teeth prior to bleaching.
  2. Teeth Whitening can be a lengthy process dependent on the result required and discoloration of the teeth, so when you start your treatment, it’s good to be aware that your desired results will take some time.
  3. It’s also important to know that whitening your teeth isn’t permanent. It can last from a few months to up to three years.
